Su-wei Hsieh became the first Taiwanese person ever to win a Grand Slam, partnering Peng Shuai as the 8th seeds to defeat 12th seeds Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua 7-6(1), 6-1. Mike Bryan and Bob Bryan completed a non-calendar year "Golden Slam" defeating Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. They now hold all four Grand Slam titles and the Olympic gold medal. Belinda Bencic continued her junior dominance with a second straight Grand Slam title over Taylor Townsend 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. Bencic completed the French-Wimbledon double.
